The CMMI Appraisal Method provides a set of processes and activities for conducting appraisals relative to the CMMI V2.0 model. It was designed for accessibility and flexibility to a broad variety of markets, organizations, and types of work.
CMMI-Based Appraisals
StepUp Solutions®, Inc. is licensed by the CMMI Institute (ISACA)
to conduct appraisals using the CMMI Institute's version 2.0 Method. These include Benchmark, Sustainment, Evaluation, and Action Plan Appraisals. Our certified SCAMPI Lead Appraisers
have over 20 years of appraisal experience using the CMMI, SW-CMM®, SPICE, and
other process improvement models.
As part of the appraisal process, StepUp Solutions provides official
Appraisal Team Training to prepare you or your appraisal team to perform as
effective appraisal team members. This training covers all aspects of the
method including appraisal planning, data collection and consolidation, and
generating and reporting the appraisal findings. Note that the CMMI Institute's CMMI courses are a prerequisite for being on as appraisal team. See our training sections.
CMMI-based Gap Analyses
StepUp Solutions also conducts informal gap analyses against various other process improvement models, such as ISO and Automotive SPICE. Quality Assurance audits, to ensure internal company procedures are being followed, can also be conducted. The results of the gaps analyses are provided along with recommendations on resolving any high-priority issues.
