CMMI-Based Gap Analyses
StepUp Solutions conducts informal evaluations (or gap analyses) of an organization's processes to determine if industry best practices (e.g., CMMI, ISO, Automotive SPICE) are addressed and being followed. Quality assurance audits can also be conducted to ensure internal company procedures are being followed. The results of these evaluations are provided along with recommendations on resolving any high-priority issues. These evaluations are also extremely useful in helping an organization prepare for a more rigorous CMMI Benchmark appraisal described below.
As part of the evaluation process, StepUp Solutions provides appraisal team training to ensure the team is effective and efficient in their roles. The training covers all aspects of an evaluation, including planning, data collection and consolidation, and generating and reporting the evalution findings.
CMMI-Based Appraisals
StepUp Solutions also partners with CMMI Certified Appraisal Leaders to plan and conduct various official methods contained in the CMMI's Appraisal Method Definition Document (MDD). These methods include Benchmark, Sustainment, Evaluation, and Action Plan appraisals. Our principal (Diane McDonald) has over 20 years of appraisal experience leading official types of appraisals.
The CMMI Appraisal Method provides a set of processes and activities for conducting appraisals relative to the CMMI. It was designed for accessibility and flexibility to a broad variety of markets, organizations, and types of work.
